Gentle teaching is a strategy, based on the psychology of interdependency, which focuses on establishing safe and loving/caring relationships between care givers and people with special needs.

This relation - called companionship - is essential in care giving and is specially needed when a person who is emotionally or psychologically stressed needs our presence and support.
